If it’s at Lake Boerne that was the first open water swim I ever helped put on when I was 18. It’s a solid venue for an open water swim. The water is clean, it’s City of Boerne drinking water and they don’t allow motorized boats on the lake. The only downside is it’s not a big lake. You can’t get much more than mile loops in the lake. I’ve raced in that lake a lot over the years.

If you have any other questions, let me know.

Tim

I would think anything in May is probably not going to happen, but you are local to there, what do you think? I suppose OW swimming is about the least intrusive sport in mass participation for virus transmission, so maybe?? I suppose it is all the other stuff surrounding a race like this, travel and such that pose the bigger threats. Could be that if the vaccine is on time and quanties they are looking for, things could look a lot different in April too.

It all depends on the county. There is a night and day difference between Harris Co (Houston) and Montgomery Co (The Woodlands) in terms of Covid restrictions. Drive 30 miles and you are in a completely different world.
