Actually the maybe refers to whether it will be an efficacious “vaccine” or not (technically not really a vaccine but that’s being picky).
The blinded controlled part is critical.

Ya the placebo thing needs to be there for sure, no control, no good results to compare. For that reason I would not do it, because getting a 50% chance of having the actual vaccine, would not change my behavior. I plan to avoid this like the plague up until my whole family can get a reliable vaccine. So I would probably not be a good test subject, probably front line and essential workers, and of course 20 to 30 somethings that are going to bars every nite would be good choices...

Good news though, it is sounding more and more like we may actually have something early next year that we can all actually get...
