So I’m going to do my first ultra tomorrow. 11 mile loop, fairly flat, not much shade, all paved, in town. It’s how many laps you can do in 12 hours, only full laps count. Should be 70 at start, high of 90. Never ran more than 26.2 before, fairly fast. PR is 2:43:xx. Wanted to run a regular 50 mile ultra but everything near was cancelled and this is in my home area. Mileage last 5 weeks is 84, 85, 88, 70, then 33 so far this week. Long runs of 23,24, 25, 18. The weeks before this has all been in 70’s for the last couple months. No support on course, but start finish will have full spread. Shop to go in and relax for a while if needed. My goal is to get to 55 and see how I feel. What say you???
