Now that is really weird. This smells kind of like the tainted beef argument. I'm no expert on this drug, or its propensity to enter through your skin, but it sure seems a stretch that you would get enough that way for a positive? Am I crazy here, or is the testing threshold so low, that just a drop on your skin would give you a positive?

And a drop would be generous, a lot less than the amount that came off someone else, to a towel, then onto to you sharing that towel..

The article said he shared towels and bathroom products, whatever that means. Might not have been through the skin, but it still seems fishy

Like I said, I just dont know for sure if it is even possible, maybe it is? I mean, we used to think it was bogus eating a poppy seed bagel and getting popped, but it happened...I just hope that in the trial or whatever they use, that they had some good expert information that lead them to believe it is actually possible. It just seems a bridge too far for me, but I'm clueless to the specifics on this..

It doesn’t seem possible. It seems ridiculous - almost a joke.

Interesting, this study just came out. "Incidental Clostebol Contamination in Athletes after Sexual Intercourse"

Basically if you use the dermatological cream as sex or masturbation lube, you can test positive. Go figure.

It's pretty well documented that this type of thing can happen with testosterone supplements, seems reasonable that it could occur with other substances.

Definitely not trying to defend him him it appears that in brazil this steroid is present in dermatology and gyno creams so one would assume absorption would be quite high. Maybe after someone applied the cream they rubbed some off on a towel which he then used? Seems like a stretch but maybe his test results were so low that they thought it was plausible.

Who shares towels for a start. Yes I have only one towel at the beach before getting in the car type stuff but logic tells me applied at home and generally you will have your own towel for starts. Then enough residue on a towel to be absorbed and trigger a detection level in a test. Maybe enough was wiped off on the towel and coincidentally he accidentally shared the towel days before but I'm calling BS on this one.

Well, it would certainly be a performance enhancing drug.
