I've been doing a lot of thinking and reading about water bottle placement. Who knew water bottles could be such a complicated topic...
It seems a lot of people prefer one bottle as close to horizontal as possible behind the saddle. Makes sense. The one complaint seems to be that to utilize it will take you out of an aero position and is in general a pain in the ass since it's behind you. Also makes sense.
Why doesn't anybody mount a bottle under the top tube as close to the headtube as possible? Or even one of those aero bottles might fit in that space?
I know next to nothing of aerodynamics and when I say that I mean literally nothing, but I would think since wind is being disrupted by the headtube anyways, why would a bottle sitting right behind there cause anymore disruption? Especially more disruption than bottles places on the downtube or seat tube? It also seems like you'd be able to stay in a much more aero position and it'd be much easier to access.
I'm absolutely sure people have thought of this and tried it so curious about it...
