https://www.wahoofitness.com/...rainer-reconditioned - Wahoo dropped $150 off today (not sure how long it goes on for) and has a 1 year warranty on it. Drops it slightly below the price of the leftover Cyclops Hammer (v1s units) which are sitting around $650 (although can still get 10% off at CT, so $585 + tax) - https://www.clevertraining.com/...direct-drive-trainer
Seems like these are some of the cheapest, no outstanding production/firmware issues of the direct drive trainers going into the winter months (and seems unlikely that even the November 20% CT training sale will get much of anything cheaper).
From looking at the newer offerings it doesn't seem like there is a ton of improvement in the direct drive trainer space with new generations. Everything is pretty quiet, power accuracy eventually gets sorted out as do other early production issues. Seems like the main motivation going forward would be if there's a new thru axel standard that can't be retrofitted to the existing trainers (and that doesn't seem likely in the super near term).
Is there anything that feels like it's missing from the latest crop of direct drive trainers?
