Static while on rollers
I'm hoping someone can help.
I started back on my rollers today. Same set up as previous years.
- Older taxc rollers with resistance unit and DIY conversion to mimic e-motion.
- Set up against a wall on my left
- Music stand with TV, Apple TV and fan to my right all plugged into power bar.
- Seconds after I start I begin getting annoying static through my earbuds.
- If I touch my elbow to the wall it stops.
- It starts again if in take my elbow off the wall.
- It seems the longer I have my elbow on the wall the longer it takes the static to start again after removing my elbow?
I was using the wall receptacle adjacent to the front wheel thinking that may be it. Changed that, no difference.

Thanks all.

I used to get huge static electricity shocks while using rollers, It was like I was a human wimhurst machine. I would run a wire from a drop out to a earth point in your room, a radiator or water pipe.

Thanks
It worked. A wire from the drop out to a screw in the paneling?

I get that on the treadmill. If I use either of those big cup style headphones are these new little wireless ones the problem is solved

I used to run an old speaker wire from the stem to ground, anything metal that was part of the house.
