I Alex a triathlon guy? I thought the Norwegian contingent did well in the 1500 (or was it the mile) in Monaco. All in the family.

You might want to clarify your thread title. In the context of this forum, at first reading I assumed DL meant "draft legal", e.g. that Yee ran 13:29 for 5K at the end of a DL tri. On clicking on the link, I see now that DL here means the "Diamond League" track meet. While some other STers may know of Diamond League, "DL" is still ambiguous. If you changed your thread title to "Triathlete Alexander Yee just ran 13:29 on the track for 5000 m", the meaning would be clear. Just a suggestion...:)

Also, it appears that a 13:29 5K implies around 28:00 for 10K, which would be 30 sec or so faster than Ali Brownlee ran at that Stanford meet. So Yee might be the fastest tri guy.

Thought I read somewhere that he had a 10k PR of 27 high, so this run right in line with that. And yes, he is the fastest runner in triathlon that doesnt get to contend for podiums, at the moment...

Absolute stud. Enjoyed watching him during Super League this year and it’ll will be fun to continue watch him develop.

4th fastest time by a British athlete this year. I bet he could make a solid run at an Olympic team if he focused solely on track.

Might be, but no others still run track races, other than the USA guys after about 17 or 18 so hard to compare natural ability to actual ability. A flat, fresh track run is considerably different to the run after a 750 swim and 20k bike and on a road with hills and 180 turns.

Certainly, and that is why I used "might be". :)
