Pretty good idea. I agree that a name change is important. The name "triathlon" is so passe and is only whispered nowadays anyway.
About the biking, I don't think 3x biking is the way of the future. I was told recently that everyone hates cyclists. Although drivers don't want to hit them, cyclists are like magnets. It's hard for drivers to avoid swerving toward a cyclist because of the magnetic pull caused by the hate. (Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't trying to kill you.)
