Doing the standard distance triathlon next weekend. I'm completely unfamiliar with the bike/run course. Could someone advise me whether it's hilly or flat?

Its quite hilly on the bike. Some quick descents. Run is for the most part a steady gravel uphill on the way back with a speedfest to the finish.

I think Hydrosloth may have understated the first hill on the run. Its a solid 1kish grunt to get up to the KVR. Once you are there it is a 1% grade or so on the way out. The 1% grade always makes it feel like you are having a rough race but stay confident because when you hit the turn around you'll start rolling and feel "fresh again".
The ride is a real beauty. It is my personal favorite route to ride as it is a good mix of turns and hills. The first hill, Vancouver hill, is the steepest and longest. But its a nice easy drive if you want to do it before the race and I would recommend stopping at "The Bench Market" along the way for coffee, breakfast or lunch.
I am a little jealous as I was hoping to race, but I have a broken collarbone that is taking it's sweet time to heal up. I will be out there running on a relay though!

Looked it up on Strava. Here is the ride file. https://www.strava.com/activities/69372865
I don't have the run file but that first hill I mentioned is about 500m and 6.5%.
Anymore questions about Penticton or the race, just let me know. I would be more than happy to help.

It has been a non wetsuit swim in the past, so I would definitely come prepared. However, JonnyO said it was 20 degree on Friday and I believe the cutoff is 22. This weekend wasn't too hot and neither is the forecast for this week, so my guess would be a wetsuit swim.

Good point. Methinks I may have repressed that warmup on the run.
