I have the 2.0, my wife has the 3.0 (because they didn't have the 2.0 in her size at the time)
Mine has one Boa that pulls the entire shoe tight. It releases by pulling the knob out.
Hers has 2 Boas and you can't pull them out - you have to turn them the other direction to loosen the shoe, plus the wire seems to be shorter. She is having problems getting into the shoe for these 2 reasons. The shoes themselves fit fine and work perfectly otherwise.
Do we have defective 3.0 shoes? If they are designed that way, is it possible to replace the Boa with one like the 2.0 on mine, or at least get a longer wire?
