Thank you all for the advice. I think my next step is going to be a serious conversation with my doctor about my future. I keep forgetting that I’m not 20 anymore.
I haven’t done my physical yet this year. I’ll make my appointment and let him know that I want to have a serious talk about my weight and where to go from here. The older I get the harder this will be to take care of.
As far as training. I’ve never used the tools on the past like a power meter but I would like to learn.
I have a heart rate strap. And I am definitely a gadget guy so I wouldn’t be opposed to buying a power meter. I just remember them being so expensive, so I never really looked into them.
I understand the weight is the real key for my performance, but there’s no reason I can’t increase my bike training immediately and see some gains there too.
