Not at all surprising. The Bay Area, but especially San Francisco, has a very long history of IRA sympathies. In fact, I probably have my "Free the H-Block Four" button packed away somewhere. When Gerry Adams came to SF in 1994, the crowd to hear him speak was crazy. It was an amazing night. Even Oakland renamed a street Gerry Adams Way.

Yes, you too. I only have personal knowledge of what went on in SF. I used to know (and lift a pint) in every Irish pub in SF.
