Ok, so my computrainer wouldn't power up today. Thought it might be the contacts, it wasn't after cleaning them. Took the power supply apart and found that two of the three wires coming from the computrainer (black and white) had broken off their solder tabs. This puts me into a little bit of a problem. I think I'm lucky that I couldn't find my solder because I realized there is no way to know which wire goes to which tab. The green wire (ground, I'm assuming) was still attached to the middle post. So I know how to solder and have a basic idea of wiring up electronics, IF I have a diagram to follow.
1. Does it matter which post the black and white get attached to? I know some things like switches don't matter, but this doesn't seem like it would be one of those.
2. If it does matter does anyone have a way to know which one goes to which tab?
3. Is there a replacement AC adaptor that would work? This says the output is 22vac 2.5 amps? I know computrainer is no longer, but wondering if this is a standard AC adaptor kind of thing.
