I'll get excited about these charges when Alan Dershowitz does. The sum of Mueller investigation is crimes that occurred after his investigation started (process crimes), Russians who will never be tried, and crimes of the past that have nothing to do with Russia. None of which he was charged to investigate.

His whole process is to pressure as many people as possible until he finds someone who will finger trump. He is likely the only civil libertarian who speaks up for trump despite hating him and being a Hillary supporter.

That's one helluva pretzel you weaved there. Nixon used the same logic but was thwarted when his minions bailed on him. Reagan used the same logic but prevailed because his minions showed unending loyalty to him and took the fall. So far, only Roger seems to have loyalty to Trump, but I think that is based on the presumption of a pardon, after the 2020 election. That's a risky move.

Or a pardon on Trump’s last day in office if he loses in 2020? So, drag this out for as long as possible and probably never spend a day in jail (or no more than a few months, I suppose).

His lawyers aren't cleared to practice in DC. The hearing is in about an hour. This will go well.

Suffer Well.

Not a good sign when you can’t get your pro hac admission done correctly on a high profile case. They are the simplest of motions and a 1st year law clerk or paralegal should be able to put it all together, correctly, in an hour or so. There are even forms and directions on the court’s website.

He's either dumb and impulsive or thinks he's above the law.

After a gag order, he posts this picture of his judge.

At least the cross hair isn't on her head, I guess is the only good thing about it. Shortly thereafter his legal team sends this:

I've never heard of a Notice of Apology. His next time in front of the judge should be fun.

Suffer Well.

No.

It’s a way to guarantee that the judge won’t give any quarter whatsoever though.

And the apology will be seen for the bullshit it is

Taking potshots at the judge that will have a MAJOR role in your future and freedom is not a tactic that one should generally employ. His lawyers' heads must have exploded when they saw that.

Looks more like he is pandering to the tin foil hat MAGA crew for money. Posting conspiracies on Instagram isn’t going to get him a change of judge.

The Notice of Apology was probably something his lawyers wanted for themselves. It is hard to believe that there are two impulsive, immature adult men in this administration - one is bad enough. Maybe they feed off of each other, challenging the other to try to lower the bar.

The guy probably knows that Trump will pardon him and doesn't care how he is perceived. I simply can't understand that mindset.

Well, that could be the plan. It would be a dumb plan that is guaranteed not to work, but yes it could be their plan.

Judge Amy Berman Jackson has scheduled a hearing for Thursday in the Roger Stone case to discuss "why the media contact order entered in this case and/or his conditions of release should not be modified or revoked in light of the posts on his Instagram account."

That will go well.
