Oakley Advancer Reviews?
Looking for a new pair of riding glasses.

Anyone have any experience with the Oakley Advancer, which can be found on the new Field Jacket or Flight Jacket sunglasses. This is described as a little tab that sticks out between the nosepiece, and when flipped down, the lens pushes away from the nosepiece for better venting to prevent lens fogging.

Anyone try this yet? Thoughts?

Thanks

I think it is great. I put out a fair bit of heat and certain glasses will fog up on me in the right conditions. The advancer eliminates that. I don't know what else to say other than I didn't know it actually had a name!

I haven't exactly used it as dynamically as they advertise it but I do find it useful as an adjustment piece. I have my flight jacket slightly "out" of the default position but not fully lifted off my face, the adjustment is stiff enough to hold in place whether or not it was intended to. More so for comfort and it sits on my face better that way. I really like the flight jacket though, I would buy them even without the advancer feature.

My naive, inexperienced with these glasses question; Why not just manually move the glasses to a further out position? When I've tried these on the lenses were tall enough to make up for the slightly lower nose position.

(I personally live in a fairly dry place and fogging is rarely an issue)

I like them in a fixed position on my bridge and if I were to simply "move" them to a different position they would slide around when in my TT position.
