Anyone have experience whether cycling is likely to flare trochanteric bursitis? I was knocked off my bike a week about 1 week ago and fell on my hip as the cause.

I ruptured my hip bursa a couple of years ago coming off the bike on a really slow turn in the wet during a race. It swelled up like a balloon and I ended up having to have to have the leaked fluid drained under local anaesthetic.
I ended up not able to run pain free for around 6 weeks but was able to ride OK without to cause any extra pain or causing more apparent damage during that time.

I could ride without pain but had to stop running completely for about 5 weeks before I could run without any pain.
