Once signed into law, Native Americans across the country can finally tap into the budding industry of craft spirits on their own lands, no longer stifled by a policy from a time when federal authorities forcibly removed tribes from their homelands and enacted discriminatory statutes aimed at choking off Native wealth.

Well ,it seems like the Tribes have been selling un federal taxed smokes and offering whisky and gambling to the white man on a reservation near you for the last couple decades. May as well add making their own distilled beverages to that list.

I do say that as ironic, and it is humorous in a way. In no way am I making light of the drug addiction, alcohol abuse, and other major social issue problems of Tribal Government. But actually with the construction jobs, income flow, employment and job training some Tribes have actually improved their position with the Casinos. I do appreciate the irony of the Casinos taking back money from the locals and doing a good job of attracting top acts/concerts to their facilities.
