Nah, he just created a thread to reference when Dan points out he claims to be a liberal but consistently attacks liberals for being liberal.
I’ve never claimed to be a liberal. I have said very clearly countless times on this forum that on some issues I align with liberals (drugs, gay rights, abortion, religion) and some issues I align with the right (free speech, gun rights, low taxes, les regulation).

I mean, of all the stupid stuff that has been said this week you are going to reference an event that is already meant to be a ridiculous spectacle and not the leader of the free world stating that the way to prevent forest fires is to rake the forest floor.
I actually have enjoyed the pardoning of the turkey since I was a kid. It always got me in the mood for the holiday season and it also always seem to kick off the nuts and bolts of the surf season around here. It’s always been a light hearted, pleasant, nostalgic event.
Trump ruined it.
About the fires, Trump is not wrong (not the “raking” part). We do need better fire control. What we do now in the name of “protecting species” is leave everthing alone (while suppressing natural fires and not doing controlled burns).
The end result is what we have now. And those species we are “protecting”?
They’re all dead now.

Fire is not necessarily bad for forests. California used to burn with regularity, and low-intensity fires are vital in some ecosystems to clear excess brush and small trees from the landscape. But there’s been a change in fire behavior over the last century, as the state and federal government began dousing the blazes. Decades of fire suppression have allowed forests to grow dense with trees.
