If you have ever caught an episode of the Dick Van Dyke show you have seen Rose Marie as Sally. I had no idea she had a life before the show but what a life she led. Starting at age 4 she became a radio star. She was friends with mobsters like Capone and Bugsy Siegel. The first night the Flamingo in Vegas opened she was on the bill. She knew just about everyone in Hollywood and was a female comedienne long before it was acceptable. Quite a fascinating story. If you have 90 minutes check it out.
