Building a tri focused home gym
As above- what would you include?
I have a vasa, a tacx neo and a commercial treadmill.

Was thinking of a squat rack, adjustable bench some plates and adjustable pair of dumbbells.
Set of plyo boxes maybe and suitable flooring.
Big comfy seat and recovery boots to follow.

Anything else required? Not a money no object build but I have the space and want it to be comprehensive.

Any advice appreciated

Don't forget some contractor fans. A hex squat would be a nice options.

Is this detached from your home? Where are you located?

This is what I have in mine:

Life Fitness Commercial Treadmill
Life Fitness Commercial Rower
Smith Machine w/ cable & weight attachments
Wahoo Kicker
Peloton Bike
Leg Extension / Leg Curl machine
Roman chair
Vibration Platform
Olympic Bar (Squats, Press, etc.)
Hex Bar (for dead lifts)

Feel like I am leaving a few things out but this is a good start

That looks great! Similar to what I'm after. Yes separate to the house, concrete floor solid walls and about 6 x 6m in size. I'm in the UK. May try and squeeze a hilo pulley. Good shout on the hexbar I hadn't really thought of one.
Thanks for the input.

Get the large rubber horsestall mats and put them on the floor. You will want to secure them to the concrete but that is not hard. drill holes through the mat, line with a metal sleeve (prevents tearing), and screw into concrete. The 100 pound (45kg) beasts WILL move over time. Great for the floor and will outlast your great grandchildren.

Yeh i know the stuff you mean. I went for purpose built 1sqm rubber tiling. The stall mats were a good bit more expensive and to my eye a bit 'agricultural' in appearance.

Good Lord these are some evolved home gyms.
I have a treadmill, trainer for my bike (have rear wheel, getting direct drive soon), and a few dumbbells.

Also, a TV and Bluetooth speaker.

I just put a 2-tap kegerator next to my trainer setup, Concept 2 and weight bench in the garage.

Probably why my times suck but hey, it's important to hydrate right?

We'll need the customary pics. Otherwise it didn't happen.

Yup got a 50 for the wall. Music I usually prefer earphones but may look at some kind of smart set up if my WiFi reaches down to the gym.
Thanks for the input guys.

The smell is nasty-A year later, after leaving it in the garage for 2 months and it still annoys me.

Really? mine don't smell at all. Cold in the winter, but no smell.

If you go with the horse mats lay them outside for a couple days to get the smell out of them. Some brands have an odor when new.

Did you ever complete this gym setup? I'm wanting to set up my own gym in our new house, got plenty of space and like you, want comprehensive setup. How is your setup, what'd you end up going with? Anything you would change? Got some pics of your setup!? Cheers.
