Help, I am a stick

So I am the typical endurance guy. I am a terrible sprinter with not many fast twitch fibre. However, I have always been pretty good at stuff that requires grinding out. Running has always come guite naturally to me.

I am also quite inflexible and I guess to a certain extent that helps in endurance sports. However, I've lately had a lot of stuff going on with my tendons. I felt pain in the heel of one foot for a couple of months and when it went away the ankle on the other side started to hur. Now I feel pain at the outside of the knee and I guess it could be itbs. It's like one thing after the other and I believe it has something to do with my stiffness.

Anyone else that gets very stiff when training hard and has problems with tendons? What do you do to avoid it?

I try to blackroll two times a week. Stretching seems to be good as well, however, I am not always consistent with it.
