What's wrong with me?

I haven't run since Monday, and I'm wanting to get one in. Can't though, cuz I'm tapering for a swim meet tomorrow.

What the hell? I want to go for a run. The feeling is weird...

On another note, I've been kinda in and out of tri's for years. I think I have it worked out now how I can be more consistent with training over the long term (only took me 30 years to figure it out) so for you fast guys out there, how long did it take before you considered yourself to be "pretty good at this"?

You are finally becoming a man. Your voice will deepen, your muscles will develop, and you might get hair in places you didn't have before. Don't worry. It's all normal.

Since you are tapering, I thought I share one that works for me.

After a few big weeks off 500 total yards, I might swim something like this:

Monday: Off
Tuesday: Swim 200 easy (8x25 on 1:00)
Wednesday: Off
Thursday: Think about swimming
Friday: Put my suit on and get in the shower
Saturday: Race
Sunday: Recover. You earned it!

Friggin crybaby. I'm at D+7 from inguinal hernia repair surgery, I'd kill to do anything triathlon related, aside from lurking in ST forums all day.

Just go run for 30 minutes, not GPS, HR, music. Just you and mother nature.

I'm taking my run gear to the pool with me tomorrow. Planning on a flat 45-60 minutes after the meet is done.
