I have a 2014 Cannondale CAAD10 and I'd like to install a BBInfite bottom bracket. The cable guide under the bottom bracket has some sort of fastener that protrudes into the BB shell. In order to pass the BBInfinite through the BB shell, I need to remove that fastener so there are no obstructions inside the BB shell, then install the BBInfinite, and then reattach the cable guide (The BBInfinite is narrower in the middle and they tell me that once the BBInfinite is installed, there will be enough room for the cable guide fastener).

But I can't figure out how to remove that cable guide fastener. Does it just snap into place?
