Saw that the course reverted back to the original. I did the race in 2013. Can anyone tell me whether this the same course as 2013? Thx

No, its different than the 2013 course. In 2013 we rode that long out and back on 9 from Jay to Ausable Forks. That is completely cut out.
The second out and back we did in 2013 was a super short stint on Hazelton Rd. The original course had a much longer out and back there and its back for 2018. I guess they sorted out the issues with the neighboring county. There is also a short 1ish mile out and back added at the Olympic Sport Complex to make up for the shorter out and back on Haselton.
Its been a long time since the course was changed, 2010 I think, but i seem to recall a consensus that the old course was slightly faster.

The course map is updated on the web site, but you are correct that there is no real public announcement.
