Long ago, I was on Zoloft for about 3 or 4 months, I had some situational depression issues. While I think it helped, what I didn't like about it was that after a while, emotionally, I didn't feel anything, no sadness but no joy either.

I have also taken Xanax, but it left me zombie like.

This was in the early 90's, I don't remember gaining weight, and I was pretty conscious about my weight, but the issues I was dealing with zapped my appetite.

I also did some counseling while on the meds as well.

Yup. I'm on a low dose of Zoloft and I still feel pretty nauseous if I have more than two drinks. It sort of sucks but its not necesarily a bad thing to drink less! ;)

FWIW, I've NEVER had the zombie feeling ... if anything I feel way *less* zombie-ish :)
