OT -- Mac question ... little spinning thing?
I use a mac. It seems like when running Safari, I get the little spinning thing more and for longer period of time when loading sites, and particularly multiple sites.

What is this thing? How do i make it go away?

The little colored wheel? That's just the system telling you to wait unitl the site loads. As for taking longer lately..I've noticed that too. Not sure why.

Have you tried Firefox? They just released a new version, and in my opinion, it's a better browser and faster than Safarai anyways.

1) run software updates - safari is up to 2.0.2 now

2) when safari is open and you've been hitting a lot of sites, so of the cache could slow things down. Go to safari (in the top left corner)>reset safari. That will flush your cache.

I run safari, mozilla, firefox and camino. Camino is the fastest, but also the buggiest.

We use Firefox too, and for me, it's faster than Safari.
