Was that the letter to Santa? It didn't piss me off. But I did think it was pretty lame. I think it was an attempt at humor, but honestly it came across as a little serious and not very funny. I am not offended or anything, just think it was a bad advertisement.

Although, I can see how some would be offended, after all Christmas is when we celebrate the birth of Santa.

It was this big long "F*ck You" letter to Santa for not bringing someone what they wanted. Then it said something like, "If Santa didn't bring you what you wanted, we have it at SBR."

It wasn't the Santa/Christmas theme that got me, it's this line... "Don't let me see you trying to fit our big fat ass down the chimney next year. I'll f#$% you up...... That line is what pisses me off. (I'll f#$% you up...... , come on?!?!?) The rest is a threat letter to santa because a triathlete did not get what he wanted and used multiple protanities to express his views.

I've spent my last $ with SBR. Fortunately all I ever got from them was some Accelerade.

Hmm sounds pretty lame. If you want un PC Xmas stuff though you should move to AMsterdam. As I've just found out every year a pretty conventional looking 'Sinta Klaus' arrives on a barge from Spain?! to distribute gifts etc. This is more than just a strory they have a guy dress up and all the kids in the city watch him arrive. so far so wholesome.

The twist is instead of Elves Sinta Klaus' helpers are a band of guys in full on black greasepaint dressed up as jesters with afro wigs! Blink and you'd say it was the twenties and you were watching the black and white minstrels!

The add isn't that bad. I wasted 15 seconds by reading it, it was dumb, unfunny and tasteless, but some will find it amusing. Different strokes for different folks I guess

I thought it sounded too much like a certain segment of people in the sport. Very tasteless ad.

Hate to break it to you, but Santa finds his origins in Sint Nicolaas (Sinterklaas). Zwarte Piet (Black Pete) is black since he climbs down, and back up, the chimney to drop off the presents. He's actually Italian. It's a tradition from the middle ages that pre-dates Santa Claus by several centuries.

While we're at it. No the Dutch don't euthanize their pensioners, they don't all wear wooden shoes and they don't all live in windmills. They do all smoke dope though.

Naah, I'm Dutch. Gives me a good excuse to celebrate two holidays. New frame and Alps for Sinterklaas, H3 for Christmas.
