Gearing Options? Need help.
Something I don't understand... If i run Dura Ace 10 speed, what options do I have for a rear casette? What I mean is, I currently run a 12-23 rear casette, but I would like to incorporate an 11 in the back, and sometimes, a 25. Do I buy an entirely new casette? Or just an 11 and somehow incorporate it into my existing cogset? Are there limited options for the mix-and-match you can do in the back, or any guidelines to follow so you don't have too wide (11-27?) of a range?

Thanks for any and all help.

You can buy smaller cogs individually (your LBS will have to order them). The larger cogs are generally in pairs or triples, but you can also purchase them individually. However, you will need to use care when assembling your cassette so that the gearing range increments consistently - i.e. generally the first 3-4 cogs need to increment by 1 tooth (11,12,13,14) after that, you can increment by 2, and by 3 once you get to the largest cogs. I like to run an 11/25 (11,12,13,14,15,17,19,21,23,25).
