Changing bike setup for different courses
Quote | Reply
Do many of you change your set-up on you bike form course to course?

I was thinking particularly about bar set-up "say fit a base bar and clipons for a course with climbs that extra hand positions on the base bar would be usefull on and revert to one piece bars for flater courses where you would spend most of the time on the aerobars.

Only wheels.

I had ultra light, not-so-aero wheels for extra windy or hilly courses, and deep/disc for windless, not really hilly courses.

Bike set-up is a breeze compared to car set-up for even RC cars. That's difficult and complicated. RC motorcycles are muc, much easier.

occasionally.
- Boulder tri with a 15% grade, switch from 12-23 cassette to a 13-26
- for Aspen tri, the bike ride is 9 miles and 1500 ft climb up, then back the same way. Take off aerobars for this race, no use for them..
