Places to sell a bike
Anyone have a list of places to sell a bike on the internet? I am going to sell my Hed Aerolab ao3 bike since at 6'5", the large frame is just not large enough.

Thanks

Four letters, starts with an "E", ends with a "Y" and sounds like a pig-latin word ;-)

I am not sure what I am gonig to do. I want to try some different crank lengths when I get my velotron with adjustable PC's. If I get cranks longer than 175, then I need a custom frame when the BB will be higher than normal. Plus, being 6'5", I need a custom frame to start with.

So, I probably will call and talk with zinn since he makes frame from tall folks.

I always try to by things that I can resell. So, making a frame to fit me is going to be just about impossible to resell.

So, it all goes back to crank length. If I use standard cranks, then I could just use lots of spacers which I do now, and seems to work fine.

Decisions, decisions. I really love my HED frame so will just see what happens.

Don't get so caught up in the crank-length conundrum, there is evidence that it's not as important as some believe (I'm searching for the other two articles):

1: Eur J Appl Physiol. 2002 Jan;86(3):215-7. Related Articles, Links
Effects of crank length on maximal cycling power and optimal pedaling rate of boys aged 8-11 years.

Martin JC, Malina RM, Spirduso WW.

Department of Exercise and Sport Science, University of Utah, Salt Lake City 84112-0920, USA. Jim.Martin@health.utah.edu

It is generally reported that cycle crank length affects maximal cycling power of adults and that optimal crank length is related to leg length. This suggests that the use of standard length cycle cranks may provide nonoptimal test conditions for children. The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of cycle-crank length on maximal cycling power and optimal pedaling rate of 17 boys aged 8-11 years. The boys performed maximal cycle ergometry with standard (170 mm) cycle cranks and with a crank length that was 20% of estimated leg length (LL20). Power produced when using the 170 mm cranks [mean (SEM)] [364 (18) W] did not differ from that produced with the LL20 cranks [366 (19)]. Optimal pedaling rate was significantly greater for the LL20 cranks [129 (4) rpm] than for the 170 mm cranks [114 (4) rpm]. These data suggest that standard 170 mm cranks do not compromise maximal power measurements in boys aged 8-11 years so that the test apparatus does not bias physiological or developmental inferences made from tests of maximal cycling power.

There are so few of us as tall as I am. The article did say 20% of leg length.

Zinns and others comments are 21 to 21.6%, so they all agree on this.

So, are you saying someone that is 5'5" should ride with cranks the same length as 6'5"?

What will be nice with adjustable PC's on my velotron is I can see how it feels, and have real power numbers, etc. to compare with.

Research shows it's not the issue some make it out to be - the body is amazingly adaptable. However, if you think it is to you, try these adjustable cranks:

Sounds like they have a fully adjustable bike also?

i would imagine there are a lot of porn stars that size, so you may want to try those types of sites... if you google like "big titties" or something you should easily be able to find it.
