can only vouch for NZ, great race in a very pleasant part of the world. The town is supportive and the course is fair. Also given the exchange rate not a bad option at all

Where do you live?

IMO, a preseason IM is just too much (after doing it this year). I'll be going to Ralph's or Gulf Coast for next year's preseason race.....

Although, Brasil is perhaps an option.

Okay, forget what I just said.....

thanks cathy - before i posted, i read your race reports and info - it sounds like a great, great time....the only thing that i'm worried about is training in the dark wintertime. i'm in a good climate for winter training, but short days must make for tough distance training.

from your experiences though....sounds totally worth it.

ooh....that sounds tempting too.

as do japan and brazil...because i've been to brazil (but not for the race), i'm less excited about that - would rather visit a place i haven't for this one. although - AZ would be sooo much cheaper (friends there, free place to stay, cheap tickets), that's still rattling around in my head too.

thanks for all the suggestions everyone!
