cleat set up and knee pain...
I posted the question just a few days ago about IT Band discomfort, but I THINK I may have found another possible culprit...my cleat position.

the outside of my left foot is really sore. When I ride long distances, this feels like it is not set up properly, like my foot is sliding off over the side.

Now, my left knee is hurting on the outside. Like I said, I thought it was ITB issues, but I'm thinking maybe it is because of my cleat set up. The knee ONLY hurts when I run. I can barely notice anything in the knee while on the bike, only on the foot.

Has anyone had this happen?

I actually ended up with a stress fx on the medial edge of my tibia due to cleat placement. Went to a floating cleat and no more pain. still cost me a college XC season.
Maybe move your cleat so it is 'centered' under the left edge to provide more support. And/or go to a larger platform like Look if using something like Seedplays.
