I see various models of computrainers for sale on ebay--they all say they have the 3d software and they all are called "pro"--but some are white, some black and some blue. I have seen model numbers 8001, 8002 and maybe another. Are there any differences between these things--which are better or worse?

The trainer stands have changed colors over the years. I have a 2001 model with a black stand now they are blue. The stand is the same. The software can be upgraded to the latest version (8/2004 release date if I remember correctly) if it has 3D.

So the trainers are the same.
How does the latest version of the 3d software differ from the earlier version?
Is there any reason to pay less for one model versus another?

The latest software has more options and more courses. It is much more user friendly. I believe the upgrade is just over $100.
