I ride this route regularly. Did it this morning and sure enough the slab of cement surrounding the manhole cover was bright orange, but I saw at least 3 other grates/manhole covers/etc. that were just as bad...not to mention the dip, going north on St. Johns, right before you get to Roger Williams. Funny thing was that I recognized the curb before you mentioned where the incident took place! Glad to hear your OK and still with us. Be safe.

I plan to check out that "accident scene" this Saturday morning. I'll be taking some pictures of the manhole/concrete slab. So, don't be alarmed if u see someone taking pics of a sewer cover.

Thanks for the info - I never knew that. I just figured that its the body's natural way to block out traumatic events.
