Apparently, LVL just arrived 3 days prior to the race and suffered from jetlag. Halfway through the bike he started to have problems with digesting food and water. This combined with the extreme temperature made him suffer but he nevertheless wanted to finish.

Candes got some stress fractures, three to be exact, in her tibias early this year probably a remnant of her Ironman Xterra double combined with us throwing in speedwork a bit early this year to her running program. She's biking and swimming but the running still isn't there. She was a great support crew though!
