Just had to give props. Trucker. Races Crits and Cx. So took out his passenger seat and jammed his Kickr into his cab to train while on the road.

Wow! Not sure how anyone can beat that. That might be more hardcore than the guy training in a damp cool basement. I can't imagine driving all day or night, then sitting on a bike for a workout, in that tight cramped space. Yikes.

What flooring did you go with there? I am in the middle of new construction project and the builder is leaving this one up to me. Leaning toward 1/2" Regupol from Rogue. Got a quote from Plae for 12mm floor but it was more expensive. Read the other thread on flooring and want something cleaner than stall mats and more gym-focused than vinyl tile. Open to other suggestions and interested in opinions folks have on Regupol or Plae.

Nice pain cave. I like the shoe boxes, but vote no to the Leads for them. Also, it looks like you stole your shirt from your little brother! Haha.

New house, new pain cave....

Bumping this thread back up after a week or so of DIY improvements to the basement bike cave and 3d printing workspace.

Electrical, sound dampening insulation, drywall hang, tape, finish, primed, paint, and moved some things around. Last up is to get the storage area in the back situated and hang some shelves for larger holiday decorations.

Overall, really happy with the space. Will decide on a floor and ceiling in the future.

Replying to no one in particular.

How is everyone storing wheels? I have a stack of spare wheels (which some need to be tossed/donated/etc), but a handful of race wheels and seconds sets that I would like to be able to store and pull out without just stacking them in wheel bags. Any ideas or reccomendations?

Good problem to have.
Start making clocks from the wheels and sell on etsy.
Or figure out lights and make it ceiling light
Rudy racks makes a 4 wheel tower.

I 3D print and sell single and double wheel hangers that mount to the wall.
I also print hanger style dual wheel holders if you already have a rod in a closet, etc.

Send me a PM if you are interested.
