How Tough is "World's Toughest?"
Hey all--
I know there are some folks out there that have done the Bradventures "World's Toughest" 1/2 IM. What is you opinion of the race course in terms of difficulty? Too tough for a first 1/2? I live in N.Cal so training on the course shouldn't be an issue. This is my 3rd year in tri. Mostly sprints and a couple of Oly. Not going to "race," just have a good time. Which would you choose: World's Toughest of Cali 1/2 IM for the early season? Thanks.

Gordo's race report is on xtri.com. He says it's 20-25 minutes slower than Wildflower and WF is considered slower than other halfs. There's little info from G here: http://www.coachgordo.com/cgi-bin/config.pl?read=33110. http://www.xtri.com/article.asp?id=945

As for too tough for your first 1/2? I'd say that depends on the person.

WT1/2 or Cali 1/2? That's a good question. If they are changing WT to April, that could be some really cold water to swim in.
