Where to buy foam roller for ITB massage?
Methinks I've developed ITB syndrome in my right leg. I'm reading up on the treatments - stretches are advocated, along with massage using a foam roller. Could somebody tell me what the thing looks like and where I might be able to get it?

Many thanks!

Get the 6x36. I bought the 6x12 and love it but keep falling off of it!

I don't have ITB problems (yet) but I was just wondering... would a foam swimming pool "noodle" work just as well?

Probably not, the foam rollers seem like they are a bit more stiff and larger in diameter. I don't have any injuries (other than wacking my knee on the table last night!) but I still use a foam roller every day on my legs and back. They are really great tools and worth every penny. I have a couple of different sizes...

In short, no. They're not firm enough, too squishy and flexible to be effective.

I agree. I don't have the quadballer, but I have the footballer, block and TP massage ball--fantastic products that really do help.

I used one regularly on my ITB and picked it up at my Chiro/ PT office. Might be worth a call locally to see if you can buy one from them. Many gyms have them if you want to try one first before you buy.

Check Toys R Us. They have what appears to be 6" rollers, and they seem to be just as stiff as the ones my chiropractor uses. These still have a small hole in the center. Don't think it reduces stiffness much, but you could slip in a piece of sprinkler pipe if you really wanted to. Cost: $4.99
