I just got this in my email in box. Perhaps it will be a little better the second time around as far as logistics go. Regardless, I had a great time and will most likely try to better my PR after a season of training! I was looking for an end of season race and I think I found it.

Dear 2005 NAPA VALLEY HALF IRON DISTANCE triathlete,

We had so much fun debuting this challenging and scenic course with you last weekend, that we've decided to do it again this fall!

That's right, the Inaugural NAPA VALLEY HALF WINEMAN TRIATHLON will be held Sunday, October 9th. And it's open for registration right now!

PAY LESS & EXPECT MORE IN OCTOBER
Among the improvements you can expect to see at our fall installment of this event:
• GPS technology to determine swim course length
• Additional signage along the bike course
• Course monitors (in addition to the CHP) at intersections along the bike course
• Improved post-race food selection
• Significantly less boat traffic leaving the resort; October is off-season for boating (Note: the spring version will be moved to Saturday to reduce impact of boat traffic leaving the resort)
