I remember you..............were you the one who said "I read about your bike on ST" when you went by? ;)

I was pretty much hating everything about that point............especially folks passing me!

What does TCSD stand for? Tri Club of San Diego?

Well I missed all of you except for Jay - guess I did not look hard enough.

I'll have to sign up next year and have a bbq afterward. Congrats to everyone who competed - tough race.

It looked like a well run race. Not sure why Brad can't get the aid station thing figured out. The first two years of his century ride he had minimal support and ran out of food/water. Strange as he promotes drinking a lot of water in his writings.

Yup, that was me. I really hope you or the police can track your bike down - make sure you check things like craigslist.com and eBay periodically. A guy in the Bay Area got his bike back after he saw it posted on craigslist by someone in Sacramento - it was posted two weeks after it was stolen.

"YOU BIG LOSER!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

i'll stipulate to that, tho with about 4 fewer exlamation points.

"Bailing out for no good reason??????? Explanations are needed."

was ready to go. had new travel trailer hooked up to truck, after much hassling around and about 3 hours of extra headaches to make everything work. then.... no directionals or tail lights on the trailer. sunk.

i'll admit, i' could've just shoved everything into the camper and stuck it on the back of the truck and gone up. but by then the thrill was gone. so stayed home and painted (and got good high elevation training in).

i'm a puss.

Wow,

I didn't even know you were all there at the race. I guess that's good since I was the Medical Coordinator for the event.

I did meet a couple unfortunate racers that didn't quite finish for different reasons......but for that tough of a race in those hot conditions I only saw 18 people and only sent 1 to the hospital. Those are pretty good stats for that day, on that course.

Congratulations for toughing it out and next time.....stop by and say HI.....it would be great to meet you all.

I felt that with all the obstacles that Brad had to overcome the race was still a huge success and I know there will be twice as many people next year trying to conquer the DAM WALL and the dam hills. Cheers to Brad for thinking fast and putting together a 3 k run to add spice to the race and T1.

Thanks for the compliment, but now that it is in the 90's every day here, I think the hair and beard may have to go. Back to the GQ look for me. If you all were wondering what happened to me, I broke my chain at 40 or so miles. Dumb luck, and no way to fix it. Caught a ride back in, and ran the first loop for grins. Probably would have rode just at or under 3 hours, so glad to hear the course was a bit long. It was definately tough. 6k of climbing in under 60 miles is a lot. NOt an overlly opressive heat day, but hot none the less for us heavy sweaters. How about ol Sheep Dog(Tim Sheeper), 42 years old and still hanging with the pros in 6th. We were training partners in the old days for many years, and now he has quite a little triathlon empire. Coaching, camps, wife, kids, house, and racing. Seems like he has all the nails in the coffin, but he just keeps on racing great....
