As much as I hate to say it, I think think you may be right! Although, maybe they are considering a different date or something along those lines... who knows. I hate to see it go, It is nice to only have to travel 15 minutes to do a IMNA event!

I appreciated you guys allowing me to ride with you - safer than riding alone around here.

Went down to the expo which they were still setting up - then walked the length of the swim course with my wife.

A rest this afternoon and I am thinking about a short ride/run shortly - heat acclimitisation you could call it - certainly not training - just keeping the body moving and adjusting to the the heat.

maybe it's because they are short handed volunteers and don't want to stretch them even further another day. On top of that, normally when registration is the next day, the awards banquet is at night. But at Arizona, the awards banquet is at noon.

I am volunteering on Sunday morning and my assignment says "next years registration" 9:30 am unti 12:30pm. I received this information today, so I assume it will be open for 2006 on Sunday AM.

my sources say that the race will def go on next year and they will try to hold it on sunday. The indians did not want to get disturb on saturday apparently. So 2006 will be on with the original bike course through the reservation .I rode the course today and is not so bad I guess, yes there will be a lot of age group drafting, but that's everywhere .....

I suppose I just wrote it is what it is several times - because so many things are out of our control - and as triathletes normally are control freaks or water down versions - we all get out knickers in a knot when something beyond our control enters into our world.

The term it is what it is - was my late father's favorite term - his way of dealing with adversity was to just say - ok - deal with it - move on - there should be no barrier big enough to get around or go over.

Anyway - hopefully I'll get to meet you and the rest of the STers.

I wish your wife all the best on Sat - it is going to be a great race - and I promise not to use the it is what it is again - atleast until Friday!!
