Hi All,
I have a Record post that, for some reason, won't clamp the saddle rails (Flite or SLR) firmly enough to hold them in place - the saddle creeps backwards. Does anyone have any hints/ideas/secrets?
Thanks
1) Sell Record Post on Ebay for mega $$$
2) Buy a thompson Masterpiece for less $$$ and 1/2 the weight
I am an avid Campy fan, but the their seatpost don't make any sense. They are heavy, fragile, and waaaay overpriced. Even the Thompson Elite is much lighter... and that's an $80 post.
Uhhh..Thanks.
Thomson Elite is heavier.
The offset Thomson Materpiece would be perfect, but bend in the post is too low (I have minimal post extension on my c-x bike for better shouldering).
Anyone else?
That's freaky, never heard of that problem. I've heard of the reverse, where the rails are too fat for the clamp. Hmmm.
I am huge on Campy and I wouldn't use one of their posts. Had a titanium Chorus, didn't think much of the clamp. Now I have a Colnago carbon (the only one that fits the frame) and that clamp still doesn't thrill me.
Keep looking for other brands. There are tons out there.
