What time (EST) for IMNZ?
With the time difference in NZ what time will IMNZ begin according to eastern standard time zone? Can't remember off hand how many time zones seperate us.

Looks like I'll have a conflict since I'll be at the Toronto International Bike Show on March 5th and may miss the ironmanlive.com coverage this year, or at least a good part of it.

I'm posting this at 9:10 on thursday night, 3/3/05. So you should be able to work it out from that.

Indeed - add 3, take away 24, and you have it, assuming slowtwitch time is EST. Starts, then, at 10 am Friday morning slowtwitch time. Winners should be known by 6:30 pm 4th of March, ST time.

Hmm, that post came in at midnight pacific. So the difference is 21 hours. East coast is 3 ahead of pacific, so the difference there is only 18 hours. So if the race starts at 7am local time, that will be 10 am pacific and 1 pm eastern on Friday, March 4th. I'll have to check out imlive after I have a nice sleep in friday morning.

Taupo is 13hrs ahead of GMT, NY is 5hrs behind GMT. Does that help?

Race starts Friday March 4 at 1:00 pm Eastern Standard Time. (@ 10:00 am here in San Diego.)

NZ = Same time as Hawaii, but tomorrow. Easy way to remember it.

And in 24 short hours Bjorn will be tearing up the road on the first loop back from Reporoa, grinding that 58-11 uphill....

Yeah, I had a bit of light rain on my track session this morning...I am about 300ks north of Taupo, mind, but I think it will be like that over the north of the country today and tomorrow.

I expect it will heat up in time to shine on Baron chasing down Cameron....

It was way foggy this morning, but it's now sunny and warm (hot for the run if like this tomorrow).

Bjorn and Clas look great. Gordo looks ripped and ready. Jo Lawn looks amazing. Should be a great day!

#1217, ready to go.

It may 'only' be a 56 - perhaps he could tell us after the race?

Likewise - good luck Cathy. Give em hell!

It's a 56/42 -- he went with a 'smaller' set-up, and Rotors, to help him avoid the injury that he had in the second half of last year.

Smaller! That is quite funny, eh, when you think what he will be doing to the back half of that cluster.

Good luck to the HOP crew.
