Now that we've painted our living room, my wife says my bike can't live behind the couch any more. The only other place for it is in the garage, which is detached from our house and opens onto an alley. I've heard that such garages are very prone to break-ins, although we haven't had one in the three years we've lived in this house.
Anyway, assuming I move it to the garage, I'll upgrade the lock on the door. I think I'll also put an alarm sticker on the door. But I'm wondering whether I should lock the bike too, and if so, how? Any thoughts?
By the way, the bike's a Softride Rocket. And if I could afford replacing it without too much guilt, I'd tell the wife "fine, I'll move it to the garage and if it gets stolen I get to buy a new one." But with all the expenses we have, i'd feel too bad about that.
