There is a YMCA Downtown with a pool. I stayed in that hotel that is 4 round towers, the Y connects to that.

Where in LA. It is huge place. If she is anywhere near Pasadena, the Rose Bowl has a nice pair of pools. It is where the Olympic Team swam for the two weeks before going to Sydney.

I have used quite a few pools in the LA area. The previous poster is right and LA is a huge place.
Sports Club/LA has a great indoor pool but you have to pay to use and quite expensive if you arent a member. UCLA has a great long course outdoor pool that is open all day from about 6am-8pm or so. If you are in Northern LA county Santa Clarita has a brand new 9 million dollar facility that is awesome. Only $3.00/session and they are open 5-7:30am, 10:30am-1:30pm, and 6-8:30pm for lap swim. Great heated outdoor pools with all the kickboards and pull buoys.
Check it out if you are in the area.
Hope this helps. Have fun.

I second the suggestion for the pool (Sunset Canyon) at ucla, you can get the schedule here:

UCLA has a nice masters program:
http://www.recreation.ucla.edu/...sub=158&mymenu=3
You may also want to check out the facilities at USC if you are in downtown proper.

She's at the Weston downtown. She called and someone there said the Y was across the street and 10 dollars a visit. Thanks for the information.
Speedo, that database is awsome. It should come in handy in the future thanks.
