Well, ICBC did their "assessment" and have decided that there's no damage - so they aren't going to pay for anything, nor will they authorize further inspection. Funny how there's no apparent damage to the chasis from SALT WATER. Bastards.

This is just one of those instances where I'll probably have to suck it up and pay for any investigation/repair work on my own dime.

Everyone loves the government sponsored insurance monopoly. Don't like it? Take the bus!

That sucks, what can you do to negate the effect on the chassis? Hmm, aa government sponsored insurance company? Is that the only company available then, if so that is awful. What's in it for the driver? Do you get a good deal?
