2 mile run, 22 bike, 2 mile run. She's been speed walking on the treadmill in the basement for up to an hour at a time, so I know she could knock out the run, and she enjoys riding a moutain bike that weighs 30 pounds. It's not until September and already she's having doubts. How do I help her with bringing that athlete that's inside her more to the surface? I know, start really slow, be encouraging, don't push, etc. Any other things I should consider from the gals side? I'll be upgrading the bike for her this spring probably to a road bike with a straight bar instead of drops. I don't think we'll be having her clip in anytime this year.
