Ksyrium SL2?
I need some help in understanfing the nomenclature of the top-of-the-line Ksyriums.

1) 2004 were called Ksyrium SSC-SL

2) for 2005 on the Mavic site they're called just Ksyrium SL

3) I have also seen "SL2" and "SSC SL2" referred to in various online places for both '04 and '05:

http://www.parker-international.co.uk/...pID/8/categoryID/64/

I have 2 questions:

a) What's the difference between the '04 and '05 models?

b) Is there such thing as the "SL2" name, and what is it?

Cheers,

Phil / UK

PS I need to know this so that I can justify why I bought a pair of so-called SL2's!!!

Not sure about the nomenclature, but I think this year's model has some of the metal removed between the spokes so the wheels are lighter. You can see indentations between the spokes, not on my wheels from last year.

The main changes from 2003 to 2004 were, in fact, the metal removed in the rims and the change in the colour. For 2005, so far I could find any differences.
