Which would be faster for a flat no crosswind TT: 808's or 909's? The disk is obviously faster, but would the extra 3cm of depth in the front wheel of the 808 make up that difference?

you can get 999s or even a pair of discs if there is no wind. That would be a better choice.
I think if you had either 808 or 909, go with the 909, the 808 is only going to give you a handful of seconds over 40km.

Read back for some of Josh's comments, the 808 is very comparable to a 909.
